1. Skin care

Your newborn baby's skin will be very soft and supple. Will require special care at any time of the year. Protect your child from direct sunlight as he may not be able to wear sunscreen yet. Especially in the warmer months, do so between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. In the summer, be sure to wear a wide-brimmed hat to protect his face. Seek medical attention immediately if your child develops sunburn.

In the winter, make sure to keep your newborn warm. Cover his skin as much as possible to avoid freezing. Use a humidifier to keep the air in his room moist. But keep the tool clean to prevent mold from forming. The fungus can spread through the air and cause problems in the respiratory organs.

2. Nail care

Even if your newborn's fingernails are very small, soft, and thin, if he has a habit of scratching it can cause damage to his face. Therefore, it is important that his fingernails are neatly trimmed. When using a nail clipper, push the soft part of the finger out of the nail so that his finger is not cut. Your newborn may be scared when you first use the nail clipper. So, if you feel uncomfortable, use an Emery Battle. This is a rough band that can be used to polish nails.

Your baby's nails will grow much faster than you expect. His fingernails may need to be trimmed once or twice a week.

3. dental care

Your newborn baby will have no teeth yet. However, this is the perfect time to start a dental care routine. Try to do this once a day after your baby's last breastfeeding.

Some newborns are born with one or two teeth. If your baby has this condition, be sure to brush your teeth with a soft baby toothbrush. Do this twice a day; Do this after the first and last breastfeeding. Babies under the age of six months do not need toothpaste, which can give too much fluoride.

Another way to avoid tooth decay is to calm your baby down or avoid giving him a bottle in bed at night. Giving your baby a bottle of milk at night can permanently damage his teeth when he has tooth decay. If the baby has a habit of sleeping with the bottle at night, fill it with water instead of milk.
